Ronald McDonald House Charities® OKC Breaks Ground on New Facility

Ronald McDonald House Charities® Oklahoma City (RMHC®-OKC) marked a milestone April 3 by breaking ground on a new facility in northwest OKC. Founded in 1984, RMHC-OKC provides housing, meals and support at no cost for families with seriously ill or injured children. The nonprofit’s new project aims to expand these services for families across the state who need housing during a child’s medical treatment.

Oklahoma City named as a top U.S. capital

Oklahoma City was ranked as more affordable than every other city on the list due to its relatively low housing costs and overall cost of living. The site’s evaluations came from a metric system, which graded cities on a 100-point scale – 100 representing the best possible score. With each of the four included categories representing 25% of the overall grade, the site then broke each category down into specific qualities.

It’s time to refocus on preventive health care

This past year, while most of us were very focused on health, our focus was very narrow and centered around doing everything possible to avoid COVID-19. As vaccinations have become widely available and we’ve learned how to mitigate risk of exposure and transmission of the virus, it’s time to shift back to a focus on preventive health care and maintenance.
