Veterans have played an essential role in shaping Oklahoma City, protecting our freedoms and strengthening our communities. This Veterans Day, organizations across the Greater OKC area are hosting events to honor the men and women who have served in the U.S. military.
Thunder fans packed the streets of downtown Tuesday to celebrate Oklahoma City’s first NBA championship with a parade that turned the city into a sea of blue and orange. Chants, cheers and confetti filled the air as the Thunder’s title run became a moment of history—one shared by a city that has stood with its team from the beginning.

From the 25th annual OKC Memorial Marathon to the return of beloved festivals like the "Festival of the Arts" and "Paseo Arts Festival," there’s something for everyone this season.
RIVERSPORT OKC’s Winter Glow holiday family experience begins today and continues through December 30. The experience includes opportunities to ski or snowboard on the Ski OKC indoor slope, or to ice skate or curl on RIVERSPORT’s synthetic ice-skating rink. Climbing experiences will also be included, with four covered climbing options available – a cavern wall, leap of faith, adventure climb and speed wall. Visitors can also experience a simulated ice climb, decorated for the holiday season.
Oklahoma City’s Stockyards City will host the Stockyards Stampede on Saturday, October 16th. Longhorns will kick off the event at 10:00 a.m. by parading down the street, followed by a day full of western heritage celebrations.
