Diversion Hub construction moves forward

Construction continues on the MAPS 4 Diversion Hub, located on Linwood Boulevard between North Western and North Klein avenues. Work began in October 2024 and is expected to wrap up in 2026.
The new 35,575-square-foot facility will support the Diversion Hub’s efforts to help people move out of the justice system and address barriers that can lead to repeated legal trouble. The building is funded through $18.9 million from MAPS 4.
The Diversion Hub connects individuals with coordinated services to support housing, employment, behavioral health and other needs. Its goal is to reduce jail stays for low-level offenses and improve long-term outcomes for both individuals and the community.
The future facility will include space for administration, navigation assistance, family and probation services, behavioral health care, job support and education. It will also include kitchen and dining space for clients.
The Diversion Hub’s operating costs will be supported by a $20 million permanent endowment from the Oklahoma City Community Foundation.
The Diversion Hub is part of a larger strategy to reduce pressure on the Oklahoma County Jail and change how the city approaches public safety. In August 2022, the OKC Council approved a revision to the MAPS 4 Implementation Plan, raising projected revenue by $100 million to a total of $1.07 billion.
