Downtown's First National Center welcomes The Gilded Acorn

The Gilded Acorn is the latest addition to downtown Oklahoma City’s First National Center.
The pastry shop is a concept of renowned chef, Andrew Black, widely known for his efforts in establishing local favorites Black Walnut and Grey Sweater.
The Gilded Acorn offers a variety of pastries, along with coffee and champagne collections from across the globe. The shop also offers a high tea service by reservation that includes dessert pastries and a detailed selection of teas. The daily tea service is available between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The shop will not only provide pastries, but an assortment of other food options, as well. Individual sandwiches, salads, and desserts are offered, along with shared plates that incorporate oysters, caviar, or other upscale food items.
Most recently, Chef Andrew Black was featured in the Wall Street Journal as a part of the publication’s guide to exciting restaurants around the nation. The chef’s work has also been recognized by USA Today, LUXIERE Magazine, OK Magazine, Opentable, YELP, and more.
The Jamaican native now brings his newest creations to one of Oklahoma City’s newest, and oldest, attractions in the rejuvenated First National Center.
Originally erected in 1931, the art-deco and neoclassical designed high-rise reopened earlier this year, following an extensive restoration. The Gilded Acorn joins the tower’s current bars and eateries, Tellers restaurant, The Great Hall, and The Library of Distilled Spirits.
High-end bootmaker, Lucchese, recently opened inside the building, as well. Steakhouse, Stock & Bond, is planned to open on the high-rise’s ground floor soon.
