New film studio celebrates grand opening

Notis Studios will celebrate its new facility with a grand opening event on March 25. The public is invited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony and tour the Spencer facility. 

The new film studio will cater to Notis’ production specialties in film and television. The facility includes a recording studio, full sound design space, podcast room, 20-seat theater and more. 

“We’re creating this space to provide resources for our community in the budding film industry,” said Marcus Brown, Notis Studios co-owner. 

Co-owner Dr. Dekoven Riggins Sr. said a core principle of the production company is serving those within the community who have film industry aspirations. 

Notis Studios contributed to the implementation of Oklahoma City Public Schools’ Scissortail Studios last year. The program allows local high school students to learn about and gain hands-on experience in the film industry as the sector blooms throughout the region. 

The first 50 guests at the Notis Studios grand opening event will receive keepsakes. Giveaways and grand-opening promotional items will be available as well. Local businesses, including Freezing Cow, Not Cho Cheesecake, Trish Treats and Houdini’s Cookies, will provide refreshments. 

The grand opening will be held in Spencer at 2414 N. Westminster Rd., beginning at 11 a.m.
