Oklahoma City MSA unemployment rate improves slightly

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics released the latest unemployment rate data and Oklahoma City had a rate of 2.7%. This data represents the month of March and was an improvement from February’s rate of 2.9%.

Oklahoma City continues to have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country for major metros. For this period, OKC had the 10^th lowest rate in the country. For comparison, Cleveland had the highest unemployment rate at 6.7%.

At the state level, Oklahoma had an unemployment rate of 2.7% which was a small increase from the previous month’s 2.6% rate. Unemployment continues to be better in all of Oklahoma’s 77 counties when compared to this time last year.
