AGS expands again in OKC

A slot machine manufacturer is expanding its presence in Oklahoma City.

AGS will lease an additional 52,727 square feet, bringing its total space in the city to 144,000 square feet at 5500 W. Reno Ave.

There are 83 people employed at the Oklahoma City facility with another 47 people employed in the state.  The slot machines are sent nationwide.

Greater Oklahoma City Chamber member CBRE commercial real estate firm represented AGS in the lease negotiation. CBRE’s John Lenochan led the industrial brokers, Caitlin Mazaheri and Jason Hammock, in completing the deal.

Lenochan said the company has been in Oklahoma City for about 20 years. He helped negotiate the original lease at the current building on W. Reno Avenue.

“Not only did the company need more space to accommodate a growth in operations, but due to employee growth they were also in need of significant additional parking,” Lenochan said. “Luckily, 5500 West Reno had the additional space available, allowing for minimal interruptions in daily company business.”

AGS is owned by private equity firm, Apollo which has acquired other casino gaming manufacturers and is moving some of that work to Oklahoma City.

In February, AGS completed its acquisition of Integrity Gaming Corp. The company had an office in Norman, where it housed the slot machines it owned, as well as other gaming products and supplies.

“(AGS) likes the central location that Oklahoma City offers,” he said. “With the two major interstates intersecting – Interstate 44 and Interstate 35 – we’re an attractive location for a lot of distribution companies, especially if they need to get goods to both coasts.”

This is the second time the company has expanded at its current location. The building measures 340,000 square feet, so AGS is now the largest tenant. This expansion brings the property to being fully occupied.

Other tenants in the building include Bimbo Bakeries, Friend Tire, and Flexibility Concepts/Introvation.
