By Staff Reports / Economy / November 18, 2022

Kroger, the nation’s largest grocery retailer, recently opened a 50,000-square-foot spoke facility in Oklahoma City as an extension of their regional fulfillment center in Dallas, Texas. The new Oklahoma City facility is expected to employ nearly 200 full-time associates.

“As OKC continues to grow, we expect more national investment and diverse options. Kroger brings both, and we welcome their investment in Oklahoma City,” Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt said.

Estimated to save members more than $1,000 a year on fuel and grocery expenses, Oklahoma City shoppers will now have the opportunity to take part in the annual membership program, Boost by Kroger. The membership service provides customers with benefits such as unlimited free delivery on orders of $35 or more and “2X Fuel Points” for every dollar spent on groceries and other merchandise.

Kroger Vice President and Head of E-commerce, Bill Bennett, said the company is committed to improving delivery and customer shopping experiences, “with zero compromise on quality, selection and affordability.”

“From the personalized shopping experience, easy digital coupons, valuable fuel points and fresh, high-quality products to the refrigerated trucks, trained and uniformed drivers, we look forward to Oklahoma City customers enjoying all the benefits Kroger online shopping has to offer,” Bennett said.
