Groups and conventions coming to OKC this fall

By Chamber Staff / Economy / September 6, 2019

Horses, boating, roping and more—these next few months in OKC are packed with some pretty major groups and conventions coming to town—which is great news for those groups and conventions, and also for OKC as this provides a boost to our growing visitor’s economy (which boasted an economic impact of $179,151,884 last year). In the 2019 fiscal year (the second year in a row) OKC exceeded $15 million in total hotel room tax, with a 3.5 percent increase over FY2018. Where did this increase come from? Ask the people who stayed in the 372,116 definite room nights that OKC got from the convention, sports, group tours and equine markets! You can view a full calendar of upcoming conventions at www.visitokc.com/about/convention-calendar.
