How Google is supporting Oklahoma’s small businesses and workforce

More than 237,000 Oklahoma businesses are using digital tools from Google to connect with customers, manage operations and grow their reach.
That adoption is part of a broader investment in the state that spans more than 15 years, including more than $15 billion tied to Google’s data center operations in Mayes County.
In 2025 alone, Google’s products and services helped generate an estimated $2.6 billion in economic activity for Oklahoma businesses, nonprofits and creators.
Through Grow with Google, the company’s workforce and digital skills initiative, Google provides training and resources designed to help small businesses and workers adapt to an increasingly digital economy.
“Small businesses are the lifeblood of our communities, employing nearly half of Americans,” said Lisa Gevelber with Grow with Google. “We’ve combined knowledge from Google experts with AI best practices from small businesses into a practical training program built specifically for SMBs, and we’re excited to support small businesses on this journey.”
For small businesses, that impact shows up in practical ways. Tools like Google Business Profile, Workspace and emerging AI platforms help owners reach customers, manage day-to-day operations and make more informed decisions about growth. As more businesses adopt digital strategies, these tools are becoming essential to staying competitive.
Beyond business tools, Google is also investing in workforce development across Oklahoma. Through Grow with Google and related initiatives, more than 169,000 Oklahomans have received training in digital skills through partnerships with libraries, community colleges and local organizations.
The company has also partnered with institutions like the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University to expand access to career certificates and AI training, helping students and workers build skills in areas such as cybersecurity, data analytics and project management.
Google’s investment extends into communities as well. Since 2008, the company and its philanthropic arm have contributed more than $12 million in funding to Oklahoma nonprofits and supported thousands of volunteer hours across the state.
As small businesses continue to navigate digital transformation, access to tools, training and resources remains a key factor in long-term growth. Through its ongoing presence in Oklahoma, Google is helping businesses stay competitive while strengthening the state’s broader economy.
