OKC Latino Accelerator offers assistance in scaling business
The OKC Latino Accelerator offers local entrepreneurs an opportunity to receive funding and assistance in building up their business.
A $15,000 non-dilutive grant, working space at the Oklahoma City Thunder Launchpad and mentorship from industry experts will be awarded to the program’s selected participants.
To be considered, candidates should have an Oklahoma-registered for-profit business with 100 or fewer full-time employees, be minority-owned and be based within Oklahoma City limits.
Accepted participants will then take part in an eight-week program between March 17 and May 19, which includes weekly sessions for two to three hours and office hours, as needed. An in-person, half-day event will also be held as part of the program to showcase program participants’ companies to the public.
Candidates can apply as a product, service or brick-and-mortar company. However, service companies must be productized – able to deliver the service without relying on person hours to serve each client, such as software-engineered automated services.
The OKC Latino Accelerator is a collaborative project between StitchCrew, an equity and inclusion-focused capital connection resource, and the Alliance for Economic Development of Oklahoma City.
The deadline to apply to the OKC Latino Accelerator is Feb. 10. Visit stitchcrew.com/latino-accelerator to learn more.
