OKC metro boasts the fourth-lowest unemployment rate in the U.S.

For July, the Oklahoma City metro reported an unemployment rate of 7.1%. This represents the fourth-lowest unemployment rate among large metros in the United States. This makes the second month in a row the metro has had one of the top-five lowest unemployment rates in the country.

The 7.1% unemployment rate represents a small uptick from the previous month’s unemployment rate of 6.9%. Statewide, the employment rate was also 7.1%. The country saw a 10.2% rate for July.
