OKC once again sees low unemployment

The signs continue to point to a strong Oklahoma City economy with the release of the latest unemployment data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. For July, the Oklahoma City metro had an unemployment rate of just 3.1%. This represents the 11^th-lowest rate among metro areas with more than 1 million in population.

For comparison, Las Vegas had the highest unemployment rate at 5.6%.

Statewide, 72 of Oklahoma’s 77 counties saw a lower unemployment rate than this time last year. Oklahoma had an overall unemployment rate of 3% while the nation was at 3.5%.
