SmartAsset recently ranked OKC No. 8 among the top metros where senior adults are most financially secure.

The study by SmartAsset analyzed data for the 100 U.S. metro areas with the largest 65-and- older populations, considering factors such as retirement income, housing costs and poverty among seniors.

The OKC metro area ranked No. 8 out of the 100 places with 7.3% of seniors living below the poverty line, 80% owning their home and 55% with private retirement income. OKC ranked No. 4 in the percentage of seniors who are housing-cost burdened at 23%.
