OKC seeks community input on MAPS 4 EMBARK system

The City of Oklahoma is turning to residents for their input on the preliminary alignments of additional EMBARK Bus Rapid Transit corridors.

The bus-based transit service will soon undergo a $61 million endeavor funded by MAPS 4 to build a pair of corridors in south and northeast OKC. The city’s project team is hoping to learn from residents which important destinations they should include along the six proposed routes.

Residents are encouraged to attend and voice their thoughts and opinions at one of the upcoming open houses and pop-up locations:

South corridor

  • 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, June 12, Supermercados Morelos, 1 SE 59th St.
  • 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 15, Capitol Hill Library, 327 SW 27th St.
  • 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 16, at Wheeler District Farmers Market, 1701 Wheeler St.
  • 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 17, Scissortail Park Farmers Market, 300 SW 7th St.
  • 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, June 25, Southern Oaks Library, 6900 S. Walker Ave.

North corridor

  • 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 10, Science Museum Oklahoma, 2020 Remington Place
  • 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, June 18, Juneteenth on East Street Festival, NE 23rd Ave.
  • 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 22, Oklahoma City Zoo Community Room, 2000 Remington Place
