Oklahoma City continues to see drop in unemployment

In recently released data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Oklahoma City MSA had an unemployment rate of 4.8% for the month of December. This represents the 7^th-lowest unemployment rate in the U.S. among major metros.

This is also a sizeable drop from November’s rate of 5.6%. On the year, Oklahoma City finished with one of the lowest 10 unemployment rates in the country. This includes March when the metro had the lowest rate.

Statewide the unemployment rate was unchanged at 5.3%.
