Oklahoma ranks No. 1 as the most drone-friendly state in the U.S.
The Mercatus Center at George Mason University ranked Oklahoma No. 1 in a study of all 50 states in their readiness for drone commerce.
Oklahoma ranks No. 1 as the most drone-friendly state in the U.S.
The study analyzed six different factors. Those included:
- Airspace lease laws (30 pts)
- Avigation easement laws (25 pts)
- Task force or program office (20 pts)
- Law vesting landowners with air rights (10 pts)
- Sandbox (a designated place to test new technologies) (10 points)
- Jobs estimate (5 points)
All of these factors combined make Oklahoma the most drone-friendly state in the country.
