Oklahoma ranks No. 1 as the most drone-friendly state in the U.S.

The Mercatus Center at George Mason University ranked Oklahoma No. 1 in a study of all 50 states in their readiness for drone commerce.

Oklahoma ranks No. 1 as the most drone-friendly state in the U.S.

The study analyzed six different factors. Those included:

• Airspace lease laws (30 pts)
• Avigation easement laws (25 pts)
• Task force or program office (20 pts)
• Law vesting landowners with air rights (10 pts)
• Sandbox (a designated place to test new technologies) (10 points)
• Jobs estimate (5 points)

All of these factors combined make Oklahoma the most drone-friendly state in the country.
