34th annual Garden Festival in the Park at Will Rogers Gardens

The 34th annual "Garden Festival in the Park" at Will Rogers Gardens, located at NW 36th St., is happening this Saturday, May 18. The festival will run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., providing a full day of activities, shopping and entertainment for gardening enthusiasts and families. 

This annual event has become a tradition in the community, attracting garden lovers from all over to explore and purchase a wide variety of plants. Attendees will find an impressive selection of annuals, perennials and bedding plants, perfect for enhancing their home gardens. In addition to plants, over 50 vendors will be present, offering an array of garden-related items. From vibrant begonias to handmade garden art, there will be something for everyone. 

Adding to the festival's charm, guests will have the unique opportunity to interact with fluffy alpacas and adorable therapy goats. These friendly animals are sure to delight both children and adults, making the festival a memorable experience for all ages. The Oklahoma Council of Garden Clubs will also host free children’s activities, ensuring that young visitors have plenty of engaging and educational options to enjoy. 

Food lovers will not be disappointed, as a variety of food trucks will be on-site to satisfy every craving. Big Lenny’s BBQ will serve up mouth-watering barbecue, while Lolli & Pops Funnel Cakes will offer sweet treats. The Monkey Food Truck will provide a range of delicious options, Tasty Snow will have refreshing shaved ice, and Taco Picoso will serve up flavorful Mexican cuisine. With such a diverse selection, there will be something to please every palate. 

Will Rogers Gardens is a stunning 30-acre property that boasts several notable attractions. The Charles E. Sparks Color Garden is a vibrant display of floral beauty, while the seven-acre Margaret Annis Boys Arboretum offers a serene environment with a wide variety of trees and shrubs. The Ed Lycan Conservatory features an impressive collection of tropical and subtropical plants, and the Will Rogers Garden Exhibition Center serves as a hub for horticultural education and events.
