Celebrate with OG&E and RIVERSPORT: Half-price Last Blast of Summer passes

OG&E and RIVERSPORT are teaming up to celebrate the end of summer with a special promotion offering discounted Last Blast of Summer day passes from August 5-7. For just $30—half the regular price of $60—visitors can enjoy a full day of thrilling activities, including whitewater rafting, tubing, climbing, surfing and other adventure sports. 

"We're thrilled to partner with OG&E for this end-of-summer celebration," said Mike Knopp, Executive Director of RIVERSPORT. "It's a fantastic opportunity for families and friends to enjoy our activities at a great price." 

The Last Blast of Summer promotion is not just a chance for a day of fun, but also an opportunity for the community to explore the innovative recreational facilities at RIVERSPORT. Oklahoma City’s RIVERSPORT Rapids, a $45.2 million whitewater center, was built as part of the MAPS 3 initiative to enhance the city's recreational offerings.  

Since opening in May 2016 in the downtown Boathouse District, RIVERSPORT Rapids has become a key attraction, featuring an Olympic-caliber racecourse that has hosted the U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Canoe Slalom (2016 and 2024) and Kayak Cross (2024), along with numerous national competitions. 

In addition to its whitewater activities, RIVERSPORT offers programs for competitive teams in canoe/kayak and rowing, catering to both youth and adults. As an official U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Site since 2009, the center plays a significant role in supporting athletic development and fostering an active lifestyle in the community. 

The Last Blast of Summer aims to introduce more people to RIVERSPORT’s offerings and encourage residents to engage with the city's vibrant recreational scene.  

Day passes can be purchased at Guest Services in the Whitewater Center. RIVERSPORT is open daily through August 11, with weekend hours extending through October 6. The whitewater facility operates from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with special hours on Thursday, August 8, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
