Chamber event to explore local and national economic issues

The Greater Oklahoma City Chamber will present the 2022 State of the Economy, with expert economist Anirban Basu as the keynote speaker, on Wednesday, Nov. 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.

Anirban Basu is chairman & CEO of Sage Policy Group, an economic and policy consulting firm in Baltimore which he founded in 2004. Basu is among the most recognizable economists, in part because of his consulting work on behalf of numerous clients, including prominent developers, bankers, brokerage houses, energy suppliers, law firms, leisure and hospitality groups, and business associations. He serves as chairman of the Maryland Economic Development Commission, teaches global strategy at Johns Hopkins University, and serves the chief economist function for a number of organizations around the country.

Attendees will also hear from a panel of local and regional economists as they discuss issues important to our city and state.
