DOKC invites all to celebrate Downtown OKC Day on June 4

By Chamber Staff / Events / June 2, 2025

Downtown Oklahoma City Partnership (DOKC) and the Downtown Business Improvement District (BID) will host Downtown OKC Day on June 4, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Kerr Park, 102 Robert S. Kerr Ave.

Previously known as Downtown Employee Appreciation Day, the updated name reflects a wider celebration of the people who support and shape downtown—including workers, residents, visitors and advocates.

“Downtown OKC Day is a celebration of all the people who make our urban core a dynamic and welcoming place,” said Jennifer Nakayama, President and CEO of DOKC. “This event's goal remains the same—a simple thank you to the people who give downtown its energy and heart."

The event features a come-and-go lunch hour with food trucks, games, booths and activities from downtown-based nonprofits and services. Participating groups include deadCenter Film, EMBARK, RIVERSPORT and Visit OKC. Additional programming includes music by DJ Reaper, provided by Arts Council OKC’s Art Moves, and activities from the OKC Thunder.

The event is free and open to anyone downtown. Guests can purchase lunch from eight food trucks, including Bondi Bowls, Let's Do Greek, Mob Thai'd, Oh My Gogi, Some Like It Tot, Split Top Dogs, Taco Empire and Yum Yum Bites.

Wondervan Pops will provide complimentary popsicles, and Paycom Center will provide free bottled water, while supplies last. DOKC will also offer giveaways during the event.

The OKC Streetcar will offer free transportation to attendees who show the Downtown OKC Day event webpage. The Business District stop is recommended, for it is closest to the event.
