Earlywine Park to host Pool Party 5k and Fun Run July 7

Try an officially timed all-ages 5K or a fun run before a pool party for the whole family on July 7 at Earlywine Park, 3101 SW 119th Street.

The Pool Party 5K and Fun Run starts with the 1.5-mile fun run at 8 a.m. and the 5K at 8:30 a.m.

Each participant gets entry into the Earlywine Family Aquatic Center after the races for an exclusive pool party until 11 a.m. The aquatic center will remain open to all visitors until its usual Saturday closing time of 9 p.m.

Race participants get a timing chip, bib, finisher medal and sunglasses, with 5K participants also getting a pint glass. The top three male and female finishers in each race will get prizes, along with recognition for top finishers in each age group (18 and under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+).

Walkers, wheelchairs and strollers welcome. Service animals only.

Runners are welcome to invite family and friends for the pool party. Guests must accompany a runner.

For discounted registration, visit okc.gov/parksignup to register before 7 p.m. July 6 or register in person at packet pickup, noon to 7 p.m. July 6 at OK Runner’s Auto Alley location, 708 N Broadway Ave.

Early registration is $35 for the 5K and $15 for the Fun Run. Day-of registration at the race is $40 for the 5K and $20 for the Fun Run.

Earlywine and Will Rogers Family Aquatic Centers offer fun for all ages with zero-depth entries, sprayground-like water features, large slides, concession stands, shade structures and birthday party pavilions. They also offer swimming lessons throughout the summer for children of all ages and abilities.
