Healthy Workforce Luncheon June 25 to detail benefits of 'smokefree indoor' regulations

A healthy workforce is vital for long-term business growth and competitiveness
Despite recent progress, smoking remains Oklahoma’s leading cause of preventable disease and death, killing 7,500 Oklahomans each year and costing businesses over $3.7 billion in medical costs and lost productivity each year. Much progress has been made in recent years to impact these numbers, however many Oklahomans are still forced to spend their working hours in smoking environments.
Learn why Oklahoma needs a smokefree indoor air law and how this small change will ultimately benefit Oklahoma businesses and the health of their workers at the OKC-County Health Department's Healthy Workforce Luncheon, Tuesday, June 25 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Vast.
