Join the Chamber and U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe of Oklahoma for the DC Spotlight

U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe of Oklahoma will be in Oklahoma City for the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber’s DC Spotlight Oct. 27 to give a final farewell during his last Chamber event before officially retiring from the U.S. Senate in January. Inhofe will sit down with Chamber Chairman Sean Trauschke for a conversation about his public service career.

Inhofe has been a valued champion for aviation and aerospace, military defense, transportation, infrastructure and other key industries vital to the economy and business climate of Oklahoma City and the surrounding region.

Inhofe, who announced his retirement from the U.S. Senate earlier this year, has served in Washington, D.C., as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for seven years and the U.S. Senate for 28 years. He is currently the top-ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, the senior member on the Environment and Public Works Committee and serves on the Senate Small Business Committee.

“Senator Inhofe has done so much for Oklahoma and Oklahoma City throughout his nearly 35 years in Congress that we want to show our gratitude and appreciation for his long career as a public servant,” said Trauschke. “I think everyone attending DC Spotlight will enjoy getting to know the senator a little better and learn how he has positively impacted many people’s lives over the years as he approaches this next chapter in his life.”

DC Spotlight is scheduled from 8 to 9:30 a.m. inside the Gaylord University Center ballroom at Oklahoma Christian University. Individual tickets for DC Spotlight are $50 for Chamber members and $75 for nonmembers and can be purchased online at okcchamber.com/dcspotlight.
