October Chamber Forum to highlight manufacturing industry
From building automobiles and parts, airplanes and furniture in the early 1900s to oil and gas equipment, drones, plastics/metals, glass and other consumer and commercial products today, industrial and commercial manufactures have made Oklahoma City their home for more than 100 years.
Today, Oklahoma City’s manufacturing companies are influencing innovation and driving quality standards across their industries. The Oct. Chamber Forum will feature a discussion on the importance of the region’s manufacturing industry, the innovation occurring across the industry and what opportunities and challenges the future could bring for the industry in Oklahoma City.
Speakers include John Patrick Lopez, chief operations officer for Lopez Foods, Inc.; Cathy Manion, lead research engineer for Baker Hughes, a GE company; and Mike O’Mara, senior vice president of manufacturing operations for Cytovance Biologics, Inc.
