Plaza District Celebrates 25 Years with Annual Festival, Local Art and Music

The Plaza District will host its 25th Annual Plaza District Festival on Saturday, September 28, from noon to 10 p.m. at 1700 Block of NW 16th St. 

The 25th Annual Plaza District Festival coincides with Plaza Walls Mural Expo, a rotating mural project celebrating nine years with over 40 new murals by local artists. Plaza Walls is managed by Oklahoma Mural Syndicate, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization promoting and creating public art in Oklahoma. 

The festival, which attracts over 30k attendees from across the region, will provide a wide variety of food trucks and vendors, including Let’s Do Greek, Sausage Feast, The Weekend Girl, Junction Coffee and Split Top Dogs. 

The Artist Market will feature nearly 30 different vendors, including Aster Kordona Illustration, Bettymetals, Cow-Boys Collab, Dreaming Jaguar Creations, Heather Louise Jewelry, Parham Custom Leather, Solune Ceramics and Tsunami Riot Designs. 

Live music from local artists will take place on the main stage and the ACM stage from noon to 10 p.m.

  • 12-12:40 p.m. – Everything Goes Dance 
  • 1-2 p.m. – Monte 
  • 2-3 p.m. – Luke Rountree’s Wild Mercury 
  • 3-4 p.m. – Lee Hernan 
  • 4-5 p.m. – Smokey Motel 
  • 5-6 p.m. – Speak Memory 
  • 6-7 p.m. – Quese IMC 
  • 7-8 p.m. – Dinosaur Boyfriend 
  • 8-9 p.m. – Original Flow and The Wavvez 
  • 9-10 p.m. – Skating Polly 

ACM stage performances: 

  • 12:30-1:30 p.m. – The Merry Walkers 
  • 1:30-2:30 p.m. – MAIGUY 
  • 2:30-3:30 p.m. – The Nobodies 
  • 3:30-4:30 p.m. – The Wavelength 
  • 4:30-5:30 p.m. – D’Lanee Fields 
  • 5:30-6:30 p.m. – Cryhard 
  • 6:30-7:30 p.m. – Elephunk 
  • 7:30-8:30 p.m. – Muffled Sirens 

A dedicated kids’ area will offer free activities for kids of all ages. A new feature to the festival is a partnership with local nonprofit organizations, in which the Plaza District plans to raise awareness for important community causes. 

The 25th Annual Plaza District Festival promises an environment full of fun and excitement for all ages. Attendees can divulge in a diverse array of activities, entertainment and art, all from local individuals.
