State Suppliers Expo returns in August with focus on connecting businesses to state contracts
The State Suppliers Expo is returning to Oklahoma City this August, offering the only in-person opportunity of the year for businesses to network with state agencies and learn how to navigate Oklahoma’s procurement system.
The no-cost event is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 5, and Wednesday, Aug. 6, at the OKC Convention Center, 100 Mick Cornett Drive. The expo is open to local, national and international companies across all industries.
The expo aims to connect private companies with state agencies in need of goods and services, while providing clear guidance on how to become a registered supplier and compete for contracts.
Since its launch four years ago, the event has helped generate roughly $286 million in business between companies and state agencies. More than $147.7 million of that has gone to Oklahoma-based businesses.
In-person networking and State of Technology Luncheon
The expo begins with a come-and-go networking event on Aug. 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., where attendees can visit booths hosted by agencies ranging from agriculture to public safety. Representatives will be available to discuss current projects and supplier needs.
Also on Aug. 5, technology professionals are invited to attend the State of Technology Luncheon from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. State Chief Information Officer Dan Cronin will lead the event. A plated lunch will be served. Tickets cost $65 per person and must be purchased with a credit or debit card.
Educational breakout sessions
The second day of the expo features a full schedule of educational breakout sessions designed to help companies understand the state’s procurement processes. Sessions will cover topics such as how to bid on contracts and industry-specific requirements.
Throughout both days, businesses can begin the supplier registration process at the Supplier Registration booth.
The State Suppliers Expo is an informational and networking event only. No contracts or bidding decisions will be made on site.
Attendees can register on-site day of or pre-register by June 30. To view session topics, booth listings or to pre-register, visit oklahoma.gov/stateyourbusiness.
