USA Softball annual meeting brings national softball leaders to Oklahoma City

Oklahoma City will once again welcome softball leaders from across the country as the USA Softball Annual Council Meeting returns to the Oklahoma City Convention Center Oct. 31-Nov. 4.
Approximately 400 attendees are expected for the five-day meeting, generating an estimated 860 hotel room nights and more than $600,000 in economic impact for Oklahoma City.
The Annual Council Meeting brings together representatives from across USA Softball to conduct the organization’s business and help shape the future of the sport. During the gathering, members consider proposed rule and code changes, recognize members of the softball community and award USA Softball National Championships to host cities across the country.
For Oklahoma City, the annual gathering represents another piece of a longstanding relationship with USA Softball.
Oklahoma City first hosted the Annual Council Meeting in 2008, when the event rotated among destinations across the country. Since 2023, the meeting has been held in Oklahoma City each year.
Visit OKC sponsors the meeting and provides marketing support for the event. Attendees also receive Visit OKC guides and resources highlighting things to see and do during their stay, extending the impact of the meeting beyond the convention center and into the community.
This year’s gathering will also include the USA Softball Trade Show on Nov. 2, where Oklahoma City will host exhibitors from throughout the softball industry as well as destinations interested in hosting future USA Softball National Championships.
The meeting opens Oct. 31 with the 45th annual National Softball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, recognizing six individuals and one team as part of the 2026 class.
Hosting the Annual Council Meeting each year builds on Oklahoma City’s deep connection to the sport. USA Softball is headquartered in the city, which is also home to the National Softball Hall of Fame and Devon Park, where Oklahoma City will host the entire LA28 softball competition in 2028.
With hundreds of attendees coming to Oklahoma City for the meeting, that relationship also translates into tangible visitor impact. The 860 hotel room nights and more than $600,000 in estimated economic impact generated by this year’s gathering are another example of how Oklahoma City’s position in the softball world benefits the broader destination.
