Application Window Open for Specialty and Charter Schools

By Chamber Staff / Inside OKC / January 6, 2026

Applying for enrollment at one of Oklahoma City’s charter schools or any of the Oklahoma City Public Schools’ specialty programs is underway.

The OKCPS application schools are free public middle and high schools with selective admission requirements. These schools include Belle Isle Enterprise Middle School, Classen SAS Middle School, Classen SAS High School at Northeast, Southeast Middle School, and Southeast High School. Criteria may include a combination of achievement tests, attendance, auditions, grades, and/or letters of recommendation. These schools are looking for students who demonstrate strong character, leadership and academic excellence.  Students in 4th through 11th grade may apply, and the applications are open to both OKCPS students and students from outside the district. Priority is given to OKCPS students. Apply or learn more at www.okcps.org/applicationschools.

Public charter schools have created a free, streamlined application at EnrollOKC.org. This new site brings together applications from 12 charter school networks operating 32 public charter schools across the city. The application is in both English and Spanish and provides a one-stop platform to research and apply.

The deadline to apply is February 13 for all schools.
