Classen High School of Advanced Studies is a top school for college readiness
Oklahoma City Public Schools’ Classen High School of Advanced Studies (Classen SAS) has been awarded the 2022 College Success Award by GreatSchools.
The award recognizes public high schools that successfully prepare students for college. The site evaluates schools through data on college preparation, enrollment and performance.
Classen SAS is listed as having 62 percent of graduates pursuing in-state college or vocational programs, substantially above the state average, which is listed at 39 percent.
92 percent of the students who attended college following graduation from Classen SAS returned for their second year. Again, above the state average of 74 percent.
GreatSchools also rated Classen SAS a 10 out of 10 in test scores and equity, alongside a perfect score in college readiness.

The Greater Oklahoma City Chamber is spearheading a campaign to improve Oklahoma City Public Schools, overall, through the passing of a school bond issue. The bond issue will not only further improve Classen SAS, but will impact every school – elementaries, middle schools and high schools – across the district.
