Commemorative Saints Santa Run returns to Midtown OKC

The Saints Santa Run, presented by SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital, returns to Midtown in Oklahoma City for its fourth year on December 7. The Saints Santa Run is a part of Devon’s Downtown in December celebration, and it offers a 5K Run/Walk, 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk and a free 50-yard Kids' Dash.  

The 5K course will take participants through Midtown and the historic Heritage Hills neighborhood, starting and finishing in the east parking lot of SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital. All participants in the 5K and 1-Mile events will receive a t-shirt and a finisher medal. 

The event will feature several free holiday activities, including visits with Santa, face painting, balloon art, a magician and photo opportunities. Attendees can also enjoy a Milk & Cookies bar and festive music. 

The Santa Run Hydration Station, sponsored by Tinker Federal Credit Union, will offer free water, giveaways and coloring sheets. Additionally, Metro Minis food truck, Starbucks and Chick-fil-A will be available for food purchases. 

Runners are encouraged to dress in festive costumes for a costume contest that will be held after the 5K, offering cash prizes for the Most Festive, Best Santa and Best Pet categories. Cash prizes will also be awarded to the top overall male, female and non-binary 5K race finishers.  

After the race, participants can visit Midtown businesses to enjoy special deals and discounts by showing their race bib or registration. 

The race day schedule includes registration, packet pick-up and festivities starting at 8:45 a.m. The free Kids’ Dash will begin at 9:45 a.m., followed by the 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk at 10:00 a.m. The 5K Run/Walk will begin at 10:30 a.m., with race results and awards scheduled for 11:15 a.m. The costume contest will follow at 11:30 a.m. 

Registration fees are $35 for the 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk and $45 for the 5K Run/Walk. Registration is available online at DowntownInDecember.com/Santa-Run, and on-site registration will begin at 8:45 a.m. on race day. 

Packet pick-up will be available from 8:45 a.m. on December 7 at the SSM Health St. Anthony campus, located at 535 NW 9th St. Early packet pick-up is available on December 6, from 4-6:30 p.m. at OK Runner, 519 NW 23rd St. 

All proceeds from the Saints Santa Run will benefit Downtown Oklahoma City Partnership, which provides essential services such as street cleaning, safety programs, marketing and community events to support the downtown area.
