Oklahoma proudly wears the title of the Softball Capital of the World, a fitting designation as it prepares to host the 2024 NCAA Women's College World Series (WCWS) at Devon Park. From May 30 to June 7, the tournament will feature eight teams competing in one of the most prestigious complexes. Tickets are still available to experience the excitement firsthand.
Formerly known as the USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex, Devon Park showcases four fields and offers top-tier amenities. Since 1990, the complex has been a central fixture in OKC's sports landscape, with the exception of 1996 when the event was held in Columbus, GA. Well-known for its role in hosting premier softball competitions such as the World Cup of Softball, the Big 12 Conference Softball Championships, and the Oklahoma Hall of Fame Classic, Devon Park showcases excellence in every aspect, making it the ultimate venue for the WCWS.
Devon Park is situated in Oklahoma City’s exciting Adventure District, just 18 miles from Will Rogers World Airport, six miles from downtown, and seven miles from the NW Expressway Corridor. This district is full of adventure for the whole family. Located in northeast OKC at the crossroads of I-35 and I-44, the Adventure District is home to many can't-miss museums and attractions. Within a two-mile radius, you’ll find a multitude of memorable activities, offering both indoor and outdoor experiences that provide year-round fun.
While there are no hotels within the Adventure District itself, ample lodging options are available nearby in the NW Expressway corridor, downtown OKC (including Bricktown), and near the airport. For ease of travel, visitors can utilize VisitOKC’s comprehensive guide on Getting Here & Getting Around.
