gBETA Oklahoma City Set to launch fall 2024 session

By Chamber Staff / Inside OKC / September 26, 2024

The fall 2024 session of gBETA Oklahoma City is quickly approaching, with applications due on September 30 and the program kickoff scheduled for October 17.

gBETA is a free, seven-week accelerator program designed for early-stage companies based in Oklahoma City. The program is offered by gener8tor, a nationally ranked venture capital firm and accelerator that brings together startup founders, investors, corporations, job seekers and more.

gBETA runs several sessions a year across the United States, selecting up to five companies from a competitive applicant pool to participate in the program.

The fall 2024 program’s first week begins October 21 and ends December 6. Within this timeframe, participants will gain individualized strategy sessions and coaching, weekly lunch and learn sessions, over 30 mentor introductions and over 25 investor introductions.

The lunch and learn sessions allow participants to gain insight on topics such as understanding market size, choosing a revenue model, setting financial goals and other topics related to startups. Mentor introductions are designed in speed-dating-style meetings, while investor introductions allow participants to pitch to a group of investors.

After conclusion of the program, participants will have a featured pitch at the 2024 Holiday Showcase, can partake in alumni events, fundraising support and gain priority conference invites and investor lightning rounds. These events give each participant the chance to showcase their startup and present the work from all seven weeks.

Once completed, participants will have gained additional media attention; access to gener8tor’s national network of entrepreneurs, mentors and investors; a lifetime membership to Global Accelerator Network; $1 million in deal and pers from vendors like Amazon, PayPal and Microsoft; and a membership in genera8tor’s startup community.

To apply, fill out the online application to be considered for the program. From there, directors will be in contact to schedule an interview, where you will present a pitch and answer follow-up questions for the program director.
