OKC Convention Center celebrates first year
The new Oklahoma City Convention Center has shown great promise in helping to shape the city’s future in its inaugural year of operation.
The Convention Center has hosted 128 events that have had over 111,000 people stream through its door since Jan. 14, 2021. Official figures estimate the economic impact to be more than $15.3 million as it marks its first birthday.

“ASM Global, as the operator of the Oklahoma City Convention Center, is incredibly proud to have welcomed both local and national events through our doors,” said Al Rojas, OKCCC General Manager.
“There is a definite demand in our space and interest in OKC as a destination. We are not slowing down. 2022 is shaping up to be an amazing year.”

Finished in December 2020, the $288 million publicly funded project is located east of Scissortail Park along Robinson Blvd.
This center is 500,000 square feet and includes a 200,730-square-foot exhibit hall, a 29,884-sq.-ft. ballroom and 27 meeting rooms, a fourth-floor terrace that overlooks Scissortail Park and the city skyline.
