OKC is ranked among the best cities for serial entrepreneurs
What does it mean when you hear that OKC is a hotspot for serial entrepreneurs? It doesn’t necessarily mean that we have a lot of entrepreneurs with a passion for breakfast soup (…well, actually, we probably do, but that’s beside the point), rather it means that we have a large number of entrepreneurs that have “started three or more businesses prior to the one they run today.” So basically, to hear that OKC is a good spot for serial entrepreneurs means that it’s not only a great place to start a business venture, but multiple business ventures. Furthermore, according to Small Business Trends, OKC isn’t just a great city for serial entrepreneurs—it’s one of the absolute best.
By weighing factors like “the percentage of serial entrepreneurs to the overall population in metropolitan areas of the United States with over 50,000 people…industry clusters, lifestyle, infrastructure, costs and workforce availability” OKC was ranked the fourth best city for serial entrepreneurs. Somewhat related, last month OKC was ranked among the top cities for small businesses as well. If this isn’t a sign that now could be a great time to start your business in OKC, we don’t know what is!
