OKC named to top 10 capital cities list
Recognition for Oklahoma City continues to mount as another commendation was handed out by a third-party source. WalletHub, a personal financial website based in Washington, D.C. placed Oklahoma City in its top 10 for best state capital cities to live.
Austin, Texas and Raleigh, N.C. were voted one-two in the list while Charleston, W.V. and Trenton, N.J. finished at the bottom. Oklahoma City’s lofty ranking was primarily thanks to finishing second on the affordability scale. Only Bismarck, N.D. finished higher.
WalletHub compared all 50 across 49 key indicators of affordability, economic well-being, quality of education and health, and quality of life. Data ranges from cost of living to K–12 school-system quality to the number of attractions.
