Oklahoma City ranks No. 1 in top 10 metros with largest share of single-family rental homes
There are two flavors of home rental: Single family and multifamily. The names pretty aptly describe the difference between the two: One kind means you and your family rent a home meant for one family, the other is where multiple families rent a home meant for, well, multiple families. As the market for home rentals expands, some of you may be wondering how Oklahoma City—a city known for its healthy housing market—has been faring. Good news: OKC’s been thriving. A recent study by RentCafe found that OKC is the metro with the most single-family rental home availability.
Topping the list at 48%, Oklahoma City had the most single-family rental homes in its market. Additionally, OKC was among the top 10 for fastest increasing single-family rentals. According to the list, “Single-family rentals offer the extra space families need, the privacy of their own home, and the kind of neighborhood they want.”
