Register to vote by June 5 for upcoming primaries

By Kaylee McDaniel / Inside OKC / June 4, 2020

The people elected to represent you matter, and 2020 provides an important opportunity for you to make your voice heard. As we approach key election dates for this year, take the time to register to vote before the deadline on Friday, June 5. Registered voters will be able to cast their ballots in important statewide primary and special elections. See what races will be on the ballot in Oklahoma, Canadian, Cleveland and Pottawatomie counties.

You can complete your voter registration application online using the OK Voter Portal’s Voter Registration Wizard. After you complete the application, print and sign it before mailing it to your county election board. You may download and complete a voter registration application form, or pick one up from your County Election Board, post offices, tag agencies, libraries and many other public locations.

As the state continues to reopen following the COVID-19 outbreak, the pandemic has impacted protocols for in-person and absentee voting. Read more on the Oklahoma Election Board website.

Our elected leaders play an important role in the day-to-day policy decisions that impact all Oklahomans. Please prepare to participate in the democratic process by registering to vote, and make sure your family, friends and coworkers do the same. Together, our votes will shape the future of our communities.
