Trick-or-treating in OKC: a quick guide
Trick-or-treating details can always be a little fuzzy and unclear during the unlucky years where Halloween falls on any weekday other than Friday. But save your fears for Thursday, because like the sheet you’re going to cut eye holes into when you realize that you forgot to make a costume, we got you covered: there’s no official trick-or-treat start time for OKC, but if we use last year’s times as benchmarks, then it will start Thursday between 5:30-6:30 p.m. and end between 8-9 p.m. For those of you who plan to stay at home and give out treats, don’t forget to leave your porch light on so trick-or-treaters know they can stop by!
And while you wait until Thursday for trick-or-treating, don’t forget to stop by Bricktown on Monday between 4 and 7 p.m. for the sixth annual Brick-or-Treat. Kids and their parents can stop by the Mickey Mantle Plaza at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark to get more directions about all the activities in the district. There will be pumpkin painting (proceeds benefit the Bricktown Association), free photos by The SNL Photo Booth, Thunder Drummers and more. Several local businesses will be participating by welcoming trick-or-treaters (a list of the businesses and a map to find them can be found here), so be sure to come in costume.
