“Come learn how to be engaged in the process of development and learn about different tools the City offers,” said Councilwoman Nice. “Some of them are on a large scale to benefit the entire community, and some are on a small scale for individual households and families.”
The forum is 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10 in Room H at Metro Technology Centers’ Springlake campus, 1900 Springlake Drive. Scheduled speakers include Councilwoman Nice, Planning Department Director Aubrey McDermid and Alliance for Economic Development of Oklahoma City President Cathy O’Connor.

- Tax increment financing (TIF)
- The GOLT Affordable Housing Program
- Federally-funded Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) programs like down payment assistance or housing rehabilitation, the Commercial District Revitalization Program, brownfields, the Strong Neighborhoods Initiative (SNI) and more.
