2019 Fourth of July parades
There’s nothing that says “Americana” quite like a parade, and we have several really good ones that celebrate America’s birthday in the heart of the four-oh-five. Check out these great Oklahoma (and American) traditions;
This year marks the 61st anniversary of Bethany's Freedom Festival. The event includes a parade, carnival rides, and fireworks. The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on July 4. It features one of the state's largest fireworks displays, which begins at approximately 9:55 p.m. The Bethany Freedom Festival takes place at Eldon Lyon Park in Bethany. The park is located just south of NW 39th Expressway between Council and Rockwell. Parking is available on the south end of the park off NW 36th. Admission is free, but there's a charge for ride tickets and games. Wristbands are available for multiple carnival rides. There's also a parade, pony rides, classic car show, inflatables, and live music.
Previously selected by CNN and USA TODAY as one of the top 10 places to be in America on July Fourth, Edmond's LibertyFest is a weeklong celebration of the nation's birth. With the state's largest hometown parade, one of the largest fireworks displays in the area, and more than 125,000 visitors, it's an event not to be missed.
The LibertyFest Parade is a “Moving Show” dedicated to the celebration of the Birthday of this great country and the Heritage of this fine state. Parade entries are fun, entertaining, patriotic, family oriented and crowd pleasing.
The parade is scheduled for July 4th at 9am. Every year on the day of the parade there is no parking on Broadway from 2nd street to Ayers.

When it’s July 4th, there’s no better place to be than Yukon! The city’s fantastic Freedom Fest celebration draws thousands of people each year to a festival of fun and food, topped off with two spectacular fireworks shows that rival any in the state. Admission is FREE!
Freedom Fest actually starts the evening of Tuesday, July 3, with a tribute to veterans and continues all day on Wednesday, July 4. The annual celebration is held at Yukon City Park, 2200 S. Holly, and Chisholm Trail Park, 500 W. Vandament. Both parks interconnect, creating a 100-acre fun zone. Giant fireworks shows start at 10 p.m. on July 3 and 4, so bring your family, lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy!
It’s easy to find Freedom Fest! Simply take I-40 West exit 137, turn left on NW 10th Street, and right onto Holly.
Four FREE live outdoor concerts are on the Freedom Fest agenda, including the outstanding Oklahoma City Philharmonic at 8:30 p.m. on July 4. A children’s parade and other fun activities for kids, a car show, a hot dog eating contest, along with free watermelon and ice cream are just some of the fun planned!

Kingfisher Independence Celebration
An all-day Independence celebration begins at 10 a.m. with a parade; activities continue at the Kingfisher Park; free concert with hometown girl, Emily Faith, at 7:30; fireworks display at dark!
