A Capitol idea

By Kaylee McDaniel / Lifestyle / February 25, 2020

The 2020 Legislative Session is in full swing at the Oklahoma State Capitol, meaning that your elected officials are busy making laws that will impact every resident of the state of Oklahoma. Now is the time to brush up on the issues and stay informed, and fortunately the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber has a few resources to help you do just that.

  • Every year, the Chamber develops a playbook outlining its stance on legislative issues that are likely to impact businesses in Oklahoma. The 2020 Legislative Agenda was developed after hundreds of conversations with local businesses and community members and vetted by the Chamber’s board of directors and executive committee.
  • The agenda is also included in the 2020 Public Policy Guide, which has contact information for elected and appointed officials in the state of Oklahoma, City of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County and Oklahoma City Public School District. Use this guide as a way to engage with your elected officials on the issues that matter most to you!
  • The Chamber’s Business Advocacy Center is also a good resource for ongoing updates throughout the legislative session. Use the Business Advocacy Center to sign up for legislative alert emails or look up your elected officials’ contact information.
