Ask the Chamber: How do I get a PIKEPASS?

Here in Oklahoma City, we have the luxury of having access to major highways that extend in all directions. Roads and highway systems vary in every metropolitan city. Depending on your destination across town, you’ll likely drive toward the direction of turnpikes. Thanks to the PIKEPASS, your road ventures just got easier!
To get you prepared for the road, Oklahoma has a PIKEPASS system. The intent of the PIKEPASS system was to establish a safer mode of transportation by way of electronic tolling. The accessibility of turnpikes is proven as a convenience to streamline destination – all while having the security and comfort of driving on alternate, maintained roads.
There are several ways to get a PIKEPASS:

PIKEPASS comes in two forms – stickers and portable transponders. Stickers are most used, while portable transponders offer flexibility for families and individuals with multiple vehicles. Choose the best option (or both) that works best for your preference and needs.
There are other benefits of having a PIKEPASS. If you work in downtown Oklahoma City and park in a garage, the PIKEPASS is recognized by an electronic detection system. This allows for easy access to some parking garages. Contact your human resources department and/or garage company management for more information to link.
Residents and visitors could check or replenish their PIKEPASS account(s) by simply logging in (online or via app) or paying in person. Another option to pay and renew your account could be completed at select city tag agencies.
If you do a lot of regional driving, a PIKEPASS is a must-have. PIKEPASS can be used in Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas. Please be sure to check your destination route for further details.
