Butter up for National Popcorn Day

We know everyone already has their calendars marked, but in case you do not, we are here to tell you that this week is an important holiday. Yes, Jan. 19 is National Popcorn Day. Whether you like your popcorn buttered, salted, with some caramel or anything else, one thing we can all agree on is that nothing goes better with a big bowl of popcorn than a great movie. We cannot think of a better way to celebrate National Popcorn Day than visiting one of Oklahoma City’s amazing movie theaters to catch a great flick.
- AMC Penn Square 10 – Conveniently located in Penn Square Mall, this AMC theater offers the newest movies and AMC’s signature recliners. They also offer great discounts throughout the week.
- AMC Quail Springs Mall 24 – For people on the north side of OKC, the AMC located in Quail Springs Mall offers IMAX and Dolby.
- Oklahoma City Museum of Art – If your movie taste leans more toward foreign films and art house cinema, the theater at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art is a place you need to get to know.
- Flix Brewhouse – Located in The Half Development, Flix Brewhouse offers great drinks and food while you enjoy the newest movies. They even have special screenings for classic movies.
- Rodeo Cinema – With two locations in the metro, Rodeo Cinema is a non-profit that promotes arthouse films and community.
- ICON Cinema – With a location in OKC and one in Edmond, Icon Cinema might be THE place to visit on National Popcorn Day because they provide all-you-can-eat popcorn (and soft drinks).
