deadCenter Film Festival is back in-person in OKC

A rite of early summer in OKC and an international draw, the deadCenter Film Festival is finally coming back to downtown as an in-person event Thursday June 9 through Sunday the 12^th.

Once called one of the “coolest film festivals in the world” by MovieMaker Magazine and the largest film festival in the state, the event is ground zero for filmmakers, film lovers, film businessfolks and entertainment enthusiasts in general in Oklahoma. A record number of submissions will feed a fantastic lineup of films of all types and genres, from documentaries to shorts, horror, animated, music video, and more, as well as multiple categories for Oklahoma and indigenous filmmakers. The festival takes place in multiple venues in and around downtown, this year adding Capitol Hill’s Yale Theater and the new First Americans Museum to the mix. A number of pass options are available, but if you want to stick to the low low price of free, hit up Scissortail Park Friday night June 10 for OKC Thunder Film’s “Seeds of Greenwood” documentary or Wheeler District Saturday night June 11 for live music and a free screening or two (title(s) TBA).
