Drink around the world at the OKC Zoo

By Marcus Elwell / Lifestyle / July 14, 2020

Ever want to sip a cocktail while locking eyes with a deadly Komodo Dragon? Now you have your chance with Sip and Stroll at the OKC Zoo. Held every Thursday from 6 to 10 p.m., through August 13, Sip and Stroll allows you to explore the OKC Zoo while enjoying featured drinks inspired from around the world (if you are 21 or older of course).

Most of the 100-acre zoo will be open (a couple of exhibits will be closed for guest safety) and six “watering” holes will be located throughout the zoo to pick up a drink of your choosing.

Admission is $17 per person and entry times are spaced every 15 minutes for maximum social distancing. Also for just $27, you can purchase a drink passport good for one 5-oz featured drink sample at all six drink locations. You can also purchase drinks individually at each water hole and multiple food options will be available.

Be sure to grab your tickets early because they are limited due to social distancing rules.

Also, if you have a great time on your time at the zoo, you might consider becoming a ZOOfriends member. There’s a sale for the month of July on membership. OKC Zoo fans will receive 10% off when they purchase or renew any ZOOfriends membership now through July 31. ZOOfriends members enjoy unlimited access to the OKC Zoo for one year plus, additional discounts and benefits. Additionally, your purchase supports the OKC Zoo, its animals and conservation efforts both locally and globally.

There are ZOOfriends packages for families of all sizes, whether you’re single or have a large family. Packages start as low as $40.
