Feeling lucky? Check out this year’s St. Patrick's Day events

By Perrin Clore Duncan / Lifestyle / March 15, 2022

Do you love shamrocks, leprechauns, gold, kilts, rainbows, and beer?! Well, it’s time to dig out your favorite green clothes because St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner. In typical OKC fashion, our community is ready to celebrate the day with smiles and gladness.

One of the most enjoyable (and free!) events is happening on March 17 from noon until 2 p.m. at Myriad Botanical Gardens. You’ll be able to enjoy delicious eats from your favorite Irish food vendors and hear music by some of Oklahoma’s best Irish bands at the “Go Green!” event.

Face painters will be onsite for the kids and Irish clubs will provide instructional dancing to those who are ready to get into the St. Patty’s Day spirit. To top off the festiveness of the day, the garden's lake will be dyed green with an environmentally harm-free dye.

Chamber member McNellie's Public House will host their traditional block party in Midtown, with food, music, beer and more.

Chamber member Cross Timbers Brewing Co. will be hosting their first annual Saint Patrick's Day Celebration, with giveaways, special release glassware and more.

Chamber member Lively Beerworks will have green beer and fun starting on St. Patrick's Day through the weekend.

Did we miss something? Let us know how you'll be celebrating in the comments!
