Free fitness court coming to the Boathouse District

By Staff Reports / Lifestyle / March 29, 2019

Oklahoma City Parks and Recreation in partnership with the National Fitness Campaign are opening new outdoor Fitness Courts across Oklahoma City. From 9 a.m. to noon on April 6, OKC Parks and Rec will have certified Fitness Ambassadors at the Boathouse District Fitness Court, teaching you how to get the most out of your workout on the court. There will be a ribbon cutting followed by a free Express Bootcamp! You won’t want to miss this event (and did we mention it’s free?).

OKC Parks and Recreation's Outdoor Fitness Courts (there are five courts located all around the city) are a world-class outdoor bodyweight circuit training system designed for adults of all ages and abilities. You can download the "Fitness Court" app to guide you through a "7 movements in 7 minutes" workout, and check out the video above. These outdoor courts are a powerful way to encourage physical activity and promote community wellness. Find out more here.
