Here’s the scoop for carving out some fall fun

The start of fall, Halloween, and Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and you’re probably already seeing grocery shelves stocked with your favorite pumpkin spice products. We’ve harvested the best spots in the 10-county region where you can have some pumpkin themed fun, capture the perfect pumpkin photo of your punkin’ (#squashgoals), or just pick up some good gourds for jack-o-lantern carving or a-maize-ing seasonal decorating. You might even want to pick up some pie pumpkins, also known as sugar pumpkins, and make your very own pumpkin pie from scratch.

Watch where you park, though. My favorite pumpkin patch from my youth had the following notice: Broomstick parking only. All others will be toad.
