Hit the clubs and perfect your swing at a public golf course near you

Raise your hand if you have post-Masters fever! With so many hands up in the sky, now would be the best opportunity to release that adrenaline inside of you and star on your own stage at an Oklahoma City golf course.

Oklahoma has two major, nationally recognized courses in Southern Hills (Tulsa, OK) and Oak Tree National (Edmond, OK). This is a testament and honor the state is extremely proud of – golf is beloved here more than foreign perception is aware. In the past several years, we have witnessed statewide representation of golf excellence from student-athletes at our major universities. The public excitement for the sport is real, and the city has come a long way in answering the bell to provide and offer golf facilities that will be worth the ‘drive’ and ‘range’. Take a ride with us on The Better Life golf cart to tour some of the favorite municipal golf courses in Oklahoma City.

  • Lincoln Park Golf Course:
Established in 1922, Lincoln Park Golf Course is the first municipal golf course in Oklahoma City. This golf course is conveniently located in central Oklahoma City next to the Oklahoma City Zoo. With designated east and west courses, Lincoln Park has a traditional course aura with wide fairways and overpasses. Golfers enjoy the fast greens, roughs and challenging layout. The spacious clubhouse, perfect for events, opened in 2015. Lincoln Park is a popular venue for golf tournaments and team practices.

  • Earlywine Golf Course:
Earlywine Golf Course is in southwest Oklahoma City. The course design features a 36-hole, north and south bound layout. Fairways are described as tight and testing, while the holes are mixed with flat and rigid elevation types. The residential surroundings here at Earlywine provide a comfortable, quiet, at-home type of golf experience.

  • James E. Stewart Golf Course:
This is a nine-hole course with a variety of levels for novice and avid golf enthusiasts. Located three miles south of I-35 from Lincoln Park Golf Course, James E. Stewart features beautiful, straightaway holes made for an ideal golf outing for those learning and practicing the sport. Players and guests will be welcomed with breathtaking views of nearby downtown Oklahoma City.

  • Trosper Park Golf Course:
Trosper Park Golf Course is conveniently located between Oklahoma City and Del City. This course is known to be carefully designed to appeal to both amateurs and professionals alike. Trosper Park is a heavily wooded golf course with an inline creek that links and bridges the course paths. When walking through the course, it’s difficult to ignore the fact that Trosper Park would rival any public golf course with a meticulous variety of landscape design and choice placement.

  • Lake Hefner Golf Course:
The Lake Hefner Golf Course is a 36-hole course split into north and south quarters. Located in northwest Oklahoma City, the attraction lies in the name – with a lake view and horizon skies that shine brightly overhead. Lake Hefner offers practice facilities for both driving and putting. The ridges, slopes and water hazards are more abundant here than any public golf course in Oklahoma City.
